significant and profound changes, especially environmental changes. The project has started with general consideration, that highlighted the necessity of area’s anthropization changing the current natural conditions of this part of Aktau. The new settlement legitimates this choice, positioning naturally in the area, with its residential buildings, services, shopping centers, offices and hotels.

LEED PRE-CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

The new Aktau’s master plan aims to achieve high environmental compatibility and ensure the minor impact of the settlement. During development of the project the ecological system and high standard of living also will be enhanced. The environmental master plan project outlines strategies for eco-efficiency of the settlement, concerning both mobility and transportation systems, and management of energy sources (production, distribution and use), waste-cycle, water resources and waste water.
This approach gives rise to integrated cycle for establishing systems for monitoring the significant environmental aspects, which support the construction of energy-efficient buildings, help to decrease the release of emissions in the atmosphere and define the most efficient operational procedures for improving general environmental aspects.
